BARRY SPEAKS AGAINST FEDERAL HEALTH CARE
On March 22, 2010, House Resolution 1086 was debated on the floor of the House of Representatives. Rep Barry Loudermilk took the well and delivered a heartfelt and compelling speech about the US Congress ignoring the will of the people.
BARRY PRESENTS SB 319
On March 31, 2010, Barry presented Senate Bill 319, which changes state law regarding the use of textbook funds by local school districts. With the passage of this bill, local school systems will be able to use textbook funds to purchase technology that is directly used for classroom teaching.
BARRY INTRODUCES GEORGIA CIVIL AIR PATROL COMMANDER
As a Lt Col in the Civil Air Patrol and the Commander of the Georgia Wing Legislative Squadron, Barry organized Civil Air Patrol Day at the Capitol 2010. As part of the recognition of CAP and its services, Wing Commander, Col. Tonya Boylan, was invited to address the members of the House of Representatives.
BARRY PRESENTS HR 1686
During 2010, four American heroes from Northwest Georgia were killed in the War on Terror. House Resolution 1686 honors these four brave Georgians by dedicating roads in their honor. Barry recognizes the family members of Lance Corporal Seth Sharp, from Adairsville, who are in the House Gallery for the passing of HR 1686.
LOUDERMILK PRESENTS SB 470
On April 27, 2010, Barry presented Senate Bill 470 to the House of Representatives. This bill provides consumer protection against software developers who write software that, once loaded on your computer, provides outside access to files on your computer. Under the new law, the software must identify what files or directories will be opened, and it will require you to agree before the software is loaded.
CNN INTERVIEWS BARRY ABOUT IMPACT OF RED LIGHT CAMERA LAW
In May of 2009 CNN's American Morning reporter Carol Costello interviews Barry about the impact that House Bill 77 has had on curbing abuses of red light cameras in Georgia.  The new law requires intersections with red light cameras to add one additional second to the yellow light cycle, giving motorists adequate time to clear the intersection.

WSB TV Reports on Red Light Cameras Permits Denied by DOT
WSB TV investigative reporter John Bachman reports on three red light cameras being operated illegally in the City of Atlanta. As a result of HB 77 passed by Rep. Loudermilk in 2008, all red light cameras must be permitted by the state. Three of Atlanta's cameras were denied permits but are still operating.

WSB TV reporter John Bachman reports that the new state law that requires cities to add 1 second to the yellow light time at red light camera monitored intersections is resulting in some cities removing the cameras. House Bill 77, by Rep Loudermilk requires the one second to be added by January 1, 2009.
